Zeolite, a Gift of Earth, Fire & Water

In October of 2006 I discovered a healing mineral called Zeolite, a gift of Earth, fire and water. Millions of years ago, molten lava rose from the sea beds to form ancient volcanoes, which erupted and caused the combination of ash and sea salt that created Zeolites.

Zeolites have a unique crystalline cage-like structure coupled with a negative charge allowing for the encapsulation of heavy metals and toxins when taken inside the body.  Zeolite, in its powdered form has many commercial uses such as moping up oil spills, but its inherent impurities from sitting in the ground make it unfit for human use.  However a Biochemist named Harvey Kaufman spent three decades researching a solution; he discovered and patented a process to purify and activate raw Zeolite making it 20 times more absorbent; one gram has approximately ninety square feet of surface area to trap all manner of toxins, heavy metals such as mercury and lead plus allergens.

It is no small coincidence that this breakthrough discovery has come at a time when the need for detoxification is so great. In 1989 the U.S. produced its one millionth man-made chemical, this level of science has supported the development of our technologically advanced society, unfortunately, many of these chemicals are finding their way into our bodies and wreaking havoc.  In the 2005 report from the Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) Environmental Health Laboratory, it is revealed there are currently 148 chemicals currently found in the blood and/or urine of Americans.

I have had symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) since I was a child, which I eventually learned was due to two genetic conditions I was born with. So at fifteen years of age, I began my Yoga practice and learned to live on unprocessed food, often growing my own vegetables and fruits. Now that I look back I realize I was probably sick 300 days out of every year. I observed that my symptoms varied depending on the environment.  I typically felt better in an area with clean air such as the mountains or by the sea and felt worse in cities or if exposed to chemicals or fumes. My allergies, digestive issues and brain fog were a big issue for me.

The quest to restore myself led to my life long career as a consultant in the natural health industry where I have educated myself while helping other chronically ill people, some unfortunately destitute.  In 1998 I began my work with Floyd Taub, M.D., a renowned expert in Cancer and the Immune System.  I participated in the development, invention and fundraising for various patented compounds including Homeopathic Taurox™ (COBAT). In October of 2006 I began my intake of liquid purified Zeolite and discovered that within a few weeks, a new source of strength came to me, my mind felt sharper, my Irritable Bowel Syndrome abated and I had less body aches.  I soon realized this was a substance I had long sought, an easy, safe and effective means of removing the accumulated effect of living in this industrialized toxic world.  Taken as tasteless drops in water several times a day, Zeolite has the rare capacity to encapsulate a huge load of toxins inside our bodies without the removal of our good electrolytes or posing a risk to the kidneys or liver.  The form of Zeolite I discovered has also been micronized enabling it to bypass the intestinal barrier and circulate throughout the intercellular fluids thus allowing for a cellular detoxification unlike many other products which work mainly in the GI tract or liver cleansers. This is a key feature; traditional forms of powdered Zeolite cannot circulate throughout the body.

Eventually I learned that while the Taurox was supporting my health by immune modulation, the addition of Zeolite into my water on a daily basis caused a most effective cellular detoxification and further clearing of old conditions. My energy reached an all time high after two months of usage; overall I felt more fit and robust than I did in my twenties!
